Hercules the Liger, orrrrrr… the biggest cat in existence on this planet.
Apparently, if you breed a male lion and a female tiger, the offspring lacks the growth inhibitor gene, so… this happens. Most of that sort of breeding in captivity happens accidentally (accidentally!?), and they’re actually perfectly healthy creatures, aside from the males being infertile.
Other hybrid species of cats: tigons, jaglions, leopons, doglas, liguars, tiguars, leguars, liards, tigards, & jagupards.
Damn.
I almost don’t believe it.
