I managed to finally fix the slight issue with my archangel statue. Now he can sit atop the cabinets with some of the others.

The Spider-Man costume for Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been revealed (left), and it is looking fantastic. I didn’t hate the one from Amazing Spider-Man (right), but this new one feels great. I’ll be really stoked when we see more of Jamie Foxx’s Electro.

New art for what seems to be some sort of relationship budding between Elektra and Punisher. I presume it stems from their interaction in the current Thunderbolts book. I’m a huge fan of when artists use flat color and color depth in illustrating characters. 

New international poster for The Wolverine released by Fox. I’m started to get more excited for this movie. I always liked Hugh Jackman cast as Logan. Origins was quite a let down, it did have some cool parts. I’m hoping this story will be closer to the comics. It doesn’t have to be spot on, thats improbable, but as long as it doesn’t have glaringly wrong parts.

I picked up my Bowen Taskmaster the other day and he looks amazing. I’m a huge fan of the Taskmaster and I’m so happy to have a full-size statue of him. I also picked up the Koto X-Force Archangel at a nice price. He isn’t going to fit in my cabinet so he will need his own home. I’m sure I’ll find a spot.

I don’t know if the Tumblrsphere has heard much of Wordburglar, but he is fantastic rap artist and his knowledge of comics is astounding. Here is his most recent video “Drawings with Words”. See how many comic references you know. 

This looks like a pretty cool team-up. I know it’s not Punisher’s style to team up with killers, despite his style of Justice. He won’t be into Deadpool, but I think the military man inside of him will respect/understand both Red Hulk and Venom. Elektra is a bit of a wild card. He status is in a strange standing right now. Deadpool IS the wild card. Although, his work with Uncanny X-Force makes sense to put him on another team like this. These Thunderbolts won’t have much hesitation in killing. Punisher I feel is still an interesting addition. He doesn’t like being controlled or on a team. We’ll have to see how it plays out.

My bud Mike Holmes got back from his time at San Diego Comic Con and managed to pick me up some SDCC exclusive minimates!

These are two pretty sweet 4 packs. AvX has the awesome Hope figure with lots of cool accessories, the cyclops with eye-blast head-piece, Emma Frost and Colossus as Jugs. Which are all pretty cool.

However, the Alpha Flight four pack is where it is at. I was super stoked to get these guys. Finally, Canada’s Premiere Superhero Team assembled in minimate form. I know they’re missing a bunch from the roster, but there is I believe another four pack coming as well as a two pack to round out the team.
