Knife of the Party

I don’t like to see cool ideas in advertising copied by other companies that sell a similar product. BUT! I am always a fan of these slow-motion, soft music, high-action video game teaser trailers. I don’t know why. It is just a format that super does it for me. 

I believe Gears of War was the first one who really did it effectively.

I’m really into this type of music now. I think the electronic/techno or whatever has really started to grow on me. I don’t know much about music, but I know what I like.

Another illustration I did for the Back to School issue of The Coast. It’s Harry Potter meets Scott Pilgrim. You’re welcome internet. I give mad props to Bryan Lee O’Mally, the artist whom I obviously ripped from, but that was sort of the idea.

So my best friend Matt and I have been trying to work out going to see these guys in Montreal. I’m cool with whatever we decided, which could be even not going and just having an adventure somewhere, but I think it would be cool. As cheesy as it sounds, our friendship is a lot like Jay-Z and Kanye West. He started out as basically my mentor at my Residence job and we became fast friends. Now we are pretty much inseparable.
