Since staying at the hotel for flooding, I’ve been watching tv lots. I came across the opportunity to purchase an Evil Eye pendant and chain on the shopping channel. The miracles of modern technology.
I started watching the Clone Wars (cgi) show last night after I picked it up on Blu-ray on a whim. JJ has watched a bunch of it already and I somehow missed out on watching it with her.
I’m really enjoying it. It feels like its more about the troopers than it is just about the jedi. I really like that. The narrator that does the recap at the beginning of every episode is probably my favorite part so far. I also didn’t realize how much death would be in it. They kill clones left, right and center. I mean, they’re “just” clones, but they’re still alive, not like the droids.
So all in all, its a great show so far. Does some great expansion on the Clone War and has some stellar characters and space battlin’.
AMC and Darabont are Adapting The Walking Dead!
AMC is close to finalizing one of the richest development deals ever with Frank Darabont to write and direct a series adaptation of the Image Comics graphic novel series “The Walking Dead,” written by Robert Kirkman.
Variety says that Gale Anne Hurd of Valhalla Motion Pictures and David Alpert of Circle of Confusion are also on board to executive produce.
The story is set among a group of zombie survivors of an apocalypse who are led by a police officer, Rick Grimes, in search of a safe place to live.
AMC Senior Vice President of Programming Joel Stillerman said the series will stay faithful to the tone of the original novels. “This is not about zombies popping out of closets. This is a story about survival, and the dynamics of what happens when a group is forced to survive under these circumstances. The world (in ‘Walking Dead’) is portrayed in a smart, sophisticated way.”
