For my birthday my friend Jenn got me a Transformers: Prime Bumblebee. I of course was foolish and went out and bought him two days before. Jenn smartly got a gift receipt, so I went back to the store and picked up this badass Soundwave. He is crazy hard to find so I was very lucky to get him when I did. Now I have all the Decepticons that are in prime save the guys that aren’t out in toy form yet.
As you can see, Megatron is awesome. However, the reason you do not see Wheeljack is because one of his joints is screwed up. During his transformation, his legs turn inwards so they are facing forward. The mechanism that does this only allows a 90 degree turn so they don’t swivel all around. For some weird reason, my Wheeljack’s right leg goes 90 degrees in the wrong direction. So thats a bit of a bummer. There was still one left at the Wal-Mart, so I’ll just go and explain that he’s broken and exchange for the other one.
I haven’t bought Transformers in years, but I’ve been watching the new cartoon Transformers Prime and loving it! More on that series after I finish season one.
I wanted to pick up Soundwave but he is one per case and the kind folk at Wal-Mart said what was on the shelf was all they had.
What I did find was a short packed voyager Megatron and deluxe Wheeljack. They’re pretty badass.
Wow. Check out these amazing screenshots from the upcoming sequel game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Everyone looks so good. Grimlock, Shockwave, the whole gang. It is safe to say that I am very excited for this.
The first one (War for Cybertron) was such a great game. Transformations were fluid, and they made sense. I never really felt forced to transform, it always felt natural. Story was great. I loved playing as both Autobots and Decepticons.
I have great faith in High Moon for this upcoming game.

Really great Typographic Transformers logos. If you look close you can see your favourites. I also love the size importance of certain names. Very well done.
Chris Lloyd rebuilt the Decepticon and Autobot logos using Transformer typography. Find your favorite hero or villain’s name above and roll out!
Whoa! Kinda want these but I am unsure of their sounds quality. Although I never wear headphones. Ah well.
After teaching for a week with the kids at Ross Creek Centre for the Arts, I decided to pick up with the type-centric movie poster. This one was inspired when one of the girls from the camp wanted to do a poster for the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie. Enjoy!
Picked this up on Tuesday. I was really excited to finally have a good Transformers game, and you know what? Its awesome. The transformations are radical, and necessary to survive in the game. Its not forced upon you. It just makes sense. Loving it so far. I’ve played as Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave so far. Fucking awesome. I read some reviews after the fact, and they seem to agree. Transformers: War for Cybertron is excellent.
